I love Silver!

Well, the leaves are falling, and we are entering the chilly confines of winter again (yay!!!). With that said, it's time to break out the silver, and I don't mean the kind you eat with, I mean the kind that bling’s. That’s right, not gold, silver, albeit golds less expensive cousin. I've always preferred Sterling Silver Jewelry to gold, as silver to me has a cleaner look, and I find it less gaudy in appearance. Whether it be a plain band of silver, or something with precious stones set into it, even Cubic Zirconia Jewelry suits me fine when I find I do not have the cash for real diamonds.

I can’t say why exactly I associate the clean and calming tone of silver with winter, maybe it’s with winter comes snow, and the covered landscape glitters like a bejeweled Silver Ring. Even icicles hanging from your roof, shining like Sterling Silver Earrings. It might be due to the old family tradition passed down from my mothers side of the family, where the woman are presented with a gift of silver for Christmas. I just know that when the weather begins to get colder, I can’t help but to show off my collection of silver jewelry.

So, with all that said, I think I’m going to go shopping around for a new necklace, or perhaps a set of earrings to wear for Thanksgiving. Silver of course, it’s just that time of year again. Until next time folks, keep that silver polished!
